Publishers Clearinghouse
Do you enter Publisher Clearinghouse Sweeps? I have been lately and have entered in the past. Is PCH for real? All the mail, almost daily, then you feel you can't stop entering after you started. They have sweeps on the internet too. PCH has been around for many years and I still have never heard of any local winners (like the envelopes all state). Wonder if it's a waste of time and stamps. I never make a purchase with PCH.

The reason why I started sweeping (snail mail) 18 years ago was.........our neighbors won the Big One in PCH, where they came to their door with a big check, etc. The lady did a lot of snail mail sweeps, and after they won she taught all of us in the neighborhood her hobby.

That is so nice to hear. But I still can't help but wonder where all the other winners are. I mean they have so many other giveaways going on almost monthly. Especially the sweeps that say there is definately a winner in your town--with your same initials too! I laugh. I'd be embarassed if they came to my door anyway. Most likely I'd be in pj's and my hair would be a mess!

And if you notice, the Prize Patrol never goes to a trashy house. They've always are in nice neighborhoods and spotless clean with great curb appeal.

I met a person that won 50 grand from pch. The odds are pretty long, they send out entries to basically everyone in the US and Canada. Also, while they have winners every year; the contest actually runs for multiple years. The winners that win today probably entered 3-5 years ago.

My grandmother had won a tv from them years ago and had to end up paying the shipping and handling.

I don't enter them, because once you start, they NEVER leave you alone. It's like you're never done entering. I love the idea of PCH, prize patrol is pretty cool and all, but they WAY too annoying, and too much of a long shot for me to bother with.
