Do you leave the shower curtain open or closed after use?
I leave mine open until I'm finished styling my hair and doing makeup, then I pull it closed. I think it makes the bathroom look neater when it's closed, plus I think it helps prevent the yucks from growing on the curtain if it's open and aired out every day.

What do you do?

Same; won't totally prevent, but certainly helps

I sometimes leave it open, but I usually close it so that the water can drip off of it better and not collect in the folds, causing mildew to form quicker. Plus, if I keep the shower curtain closed, no one can see the soap scum on my tile.

I leave it open because my nephew told me that would keep mold from forming around the tub.

Closed, so I can see all the pretty lighthouses on the curtain I paid so much for...

I read in a home magazine that it makes your bathroom appear larger if you leave the curtain open, if you have a small bathroom.

I keep opening it and my husband keeps closing it. This happens several times a day. It's a daily bathroom curtain war at my house!

That's true, but when I leave mine open mildew developes in the creases of the curtain. So I guess either way something is gonna develope! LOL!
I prefer it closed so it looks neater.

I don't have a shower curtain HistoryMystery. I have a glass door and it's closed most of the time after I shower

Always close it after shower and once a week I spray the curtain and the shower down with vinegar in a spray bottle (besides the regular cleaning). About once a month I spray down with undiluted bleach.

I pull mine closed. Sometimes when I pee in the dead of night, I have an irrational fear that the dead lady from the hotel room in the Shining is going to rattle them open

But if the curtains are closed, won't Norman Bates hide behind them?

Both my sister and the mini diva have to take dogs in with them after seeing this movie! It's so funny, but I guess no odder than I have to be covered at night or something will "get" me.

yea mine too. It really didn't make much sense to me because the air should be circulating anyways from the opening on the top of the curtain to prevent mildew.
