It feels so good
I voted this morning - and it felt so good.

Regardless of party or philosophy, the simple act of voting is a
special act. Our local voting place to me is the epitome of
small town America. Fall leaves, bright sunshine, a nip in
the air, with our beautiful lake as a backdrop and the many
people who turned out to vote - makes you proud to be an American.

Did you guys vote? Doesn't it feel good?

I vote and I do think it's important for everyone-you shouldn't complain about whose in charge of the gov. unless you vote (my daughter has voted in all elections ever since she was old enough-many youths do care and should-they'll be in charge of our country one day_

There are no elections in WV this year (unless there are some local elections in towns other than mine).

But if there were, you bet I'd be voting!

Your daily vote will help me fix up my truly ugly kitchen and enter you to win $500!

Thank you - all votes returned!

Would love your daily vote for my photo entry. By voting you can win $500!
I'm currently at #11 and just need to be in top 10 to win!

Sabra, no elections in KY this year, but I know exactly what you mean. Each time I vote, I just have a feeling of excitement that I'm part of such a wonderful process. Your upstate elections are very controversial...post your feelings tomorrow if you feel comfortable doing so.
Thanks,
Louise

BC22, I don't want to be a scold, but you should really register to vote. I've had some of my students say the same thing that you do, but I tell them that even though they may not realize it, politics affects everything they do, and they should make their voices heard. Please consider registering and being a part of this wonderful American process.

I went to our City Hall on my 21st birthday to register to vote (that was the voting age requirement years ago).

I was so thrilled to be able to vote, but I was also so disappointed because I was expecting some kind of ceremony!

There is one item on the ballot - 3 open spots for school board.

There are 3 candidates

I voted, but I have some serious doubts about today's turnout

We currently have 4 GIVEAWAYS at - One Zillion Books

Thanks Louise - fortunately not much controversy around here - except for local town offices and most of those candidates/incumbents are neighbors or I have met. Kinda makes it
personal! Glad you understand my feelings.

I know what you mean ~ I missed one election since I turned 18 and it bugs me. Half my husband's family doesn't vote including my MIL and it really disappoints me. It's a privilege to vote and shame on those that don't.

The first time I voted was a Presidential election, and I voted for JFK.

I don't remember a lot of things back then but that day was one I will
NEVER forget. I really felt like a part of the process for the first time
in my then-young life.

If you don't vote, please reconsider your decision -
