Confirm entry?
I have been sweeping for a little over a year and this is a first for me. I got an email last night asking me to confirm my entry for a sweep that expired on September 30th. Is that odd? I was just curious as to why they wouldn't just have you confirm your entry when you enter the sweep, instead of after it is over. I didn't realize that it was already over until I had confirmed it.
Anyone else ever have to do this?

Nah! They didn't ask for any info, just to confirm that I actually entered.

well, Velvet I hope you win anyways - maybe they wanted to make sure you were who you are. You never know... good luck...

I,ve had some phone calls that wanted me to confirm my email address for entering a sweep, but they turned out to be those Fla. sweeps trying to solicitate for business.

It didn't happen to be from the sensualgiftbaskets.com people was it? I got one from them too and after posting here to see if others did too, I think it's safe to say we didn't all win.

Needless to say hubby is bummed.

Yes,it was from them. I knew it wasn't a win because they just asked me to confirm that I had in fact entered and nothing more. What I was really wondering was why they didn't just confirm immediately after entry like most other sweeps that require you to confirm. I thought maybe they had a problem with MY email address or something. I guess it really doesn't matter,I was just curious because it seems like an odd thing to do.

Maybe they just decided to do it this way to weed out any fake email addresses before they draw a winner. I suppose that would make sense, because I'm sure with contests like that they get a lot of people entering as a joke.
