You have to listen to this clip
It is from Howard Stern and demonstrating the race issue, of people just voting for Obama because of his race.

This is the third time this was posted here, not sure if all were in the political forums but I could probably link the other posts.

The world is full of uninformed people, no surprise there.

and a lot of women are voting for palin 'cause she's a hockey mom, men are voting for palin because of t & a, those voting for john mccain is because he was a pow! (not all, don't get your panties in a wad).

all these have as much to do with running a country as those voting for obama strictly because of his color.

it's a right to vote, but one should also be knowledgeable on the issues.

jay leno had a jay walking segment on last week and some of the obama/mccain supporters didn't even know who their running mates were! had no idea of their platform, issues? what issues?

it is a disgrace and an embarrassment.

there are enough idiots to go around, sadly, and on both sides.
there are people voting for Obama because he is black; voting against him because he is black. Voting for Palin because she is a woman and against her because she is a woman.
Ignorance is not a matter of political party in spite of some of the things posted in this forum.

One could make the argument (and with some validity) that her response isn't totally unexpected due to her young age. That's not an excuse for her being uninformed, but unfortunately it's the "conditions that prevail." (one of my grandfather's favorite sayings).

But there really is no excuse for older voters who really should be more aware of what each candidate stands for. Unfortunately there are still many people in this country who vote strictly along party lines, or vote for who their (parent, spouse, significant other, best friend, pastor, union leader, etc) tells them to vote for.

It's intellectual laziness, IMO.

Not all the time,,,I have a heck of a time finding out any information on local candidates that I vote for. I look for it,,and I cant find it. So when I go vote sometimes the only information I have is party,,and since in general I support the democratic party platform I vote that way. I would prefer to know alot more about a candidate but sometimes thats just all I have to go on. If someone else TOLD me who to vote for they could be assured I would do the opposite.

I should have clarified - I was speaking of presidential elections.

You are correct; it is often difficult to find information about local candidates.
