The Truth about Obama's Birth Certificate

Shut 'em down, Barack. The truth, is so much better than attacks some times.

Summary In June, the Obama campaign released a digitally scanned image of his birth certificate to quell speculative charges that he might not be a natural-born citizen. But the image prompted more blog-based skepticism about the document's authenticity. And recently, author Jerome Corsi, whose book attacks Obama, said in a TV interview that the birth certificate the campaign has is "fake." We beg to differ. FactCheck.org staffers have now seen, touched, examined and photographed the original birth certificate. We conclude that it meets all of the requirements from the State Department for proving U.S. citizenship. Claims that the document lacks a raised seal or a signature are false. We have posted high-resolution photographs of the document as "supporting documents" to this article. Our conclusion: Obama was born in the U.S.A. just as he has always said.

Unless I see it personally how do I know it's not fake? Everyone in the U.S. needs to verify it for themselves. Barack can mail it to me, then I'll mail it to someone else and so on and so forth. Due to the lengthy nature of the process, I think the elections need to be suspended until it is finished and Bush should reign until then.

i just sent the factcheck.org link to a few people who have insisted obama's birth certificate was a fake. i know i'll get a response, but i don't know what it will be.

all i know, it's another smear against him that has been removed.

This is such a let down. It all feels so...anticlimactic.

No, because now they can get all worked up about McCain's birth certificate. I'll be expecting that thread any day now.

Several sources disagree and have demonstrated that the COLB on Obama's website is a fake. It isn't so much that his citizenship is in question. The question is why would he post a fake birth certificate? What is he hiding?
