OLS forum problem
I have a problem with the forum posts on OLS. some are normal, some are just wrong.

I don't know how to quite explain it, so please forgive me if it seems confusing. When the page loads, some of the posts are normal, some, the box where the personal info, name, avatar, post count and location, that box goes all the way across the page. And, to see the post made by that member, I have to scroll sideways, and the actual post will only be ONE INCH wide, and I have to scroll down to read it, because it's like this:

Wow, I
bought
this item
yesterday,
and I was
very dis
appointed
with it I
must say.

Also, on the posts that are stretched out that way, the person's info will run down the left side, like normal, but the avatar will be in the CENTER of my computer screen.
What is causing this, and how can I fix it? it is giving me such an awful headache, and it's driving me crazy. I have had this problem since the updates

It's not your computer. Apparently that's the way it displays now if you use any browser besides IE

OH GEEZ!

I can't use IE, for some reason it seems more vulnerable to getting hit with viruses, and on my mom's computer she gets hit by viruses, porn, and millions of popups if she uses IE.

I am so sorry to hear everyone else is having this problem, I really hope Brent fixes it soon, I won't even go into What's On your mind, where posts are more lengthy, because it makes my head hurt so much trying to read it.

PLEASE FIX IT SOON BRENT

thanks everyone for posting, and letting me know it's a common problem!

It's the where you live part that's messing it up. It's keeping it all on one line. So someone who says Mayberry NC is in a small box, someone who says, I live in a bog in a hole on the log near the sea is in a large box.

Drives me batty too.

Thank the lord above that it just wasn't me. If someone has a long
"quote" on their location beneath their name it goes super long and
their box with their typing is squished. It is very difficult to just scroll
down & read everyone's posts when some are short and some are long.

Is this a glitch that is being worked on or is this how it's supposed
to be now?

I use Mozilla Firefox and do not use Internet Explorer. I do not
plan on switching to IE because of numerous issues with hacking
and many flaws. I love Firefox and I'm bummed that there is an
issue now that wasn't there before. I feel like if something isn't
broke don't fix it. I wish people would have shut up about when
the upgrades were going to happen because I liked things the
way they were.

So your box with your name and my box right above yours match in width exactly
on your computer?

I just noticed on my computer, it even cuts off the end of my name because
my location is short.

Edited!!! I just went and opened Online Sweepstakes using Internet Explorer
and everything lines up perfectly. It is most definately a problem with OLS
if you are using Mozilla Firefox. Dang it!

Lightbulb You need the right firewall to block all that garbage.

I have a great firewall but Internet Explorer in how it is written
is at a much greater risk for viruses and malware. I just read
a really long article about it after my homepage was hijacked
multiple times in Internet Explorer.

There are many many flaws in Internet Explorer and even with
a firewall on and virus protection on, you can still experience
numerous security issues as I did. The article said that Mozilla
Firefox in the way it is made does not have the security issues
and is 99 percent safer to use.

I only use IE when I have to for certain sweeps.
