Nasy answers from Classic Heartland
I wrote Classicheartland inquiring about their contests, and did anyone ever win, etc. I received several nasy emails from George@classicheartland.com. They were very nasy and insulting to anyone that enters their no win sweepstakes. I mentioned that I had read several complaints on several different groups that represented alot of people about their site. He stated basically he could care less if 150,000 people in these groups did not enter their contests, he still had 850,000 other people that enter their contests, and a few other nasy remarks. My suggestion would be beware of this site. I not sure it is not connected in some way with someone overseas. Beware!

Post his emails I'd like to read them! The guy sounds like a head case! Maybe if we all stop entering he will sing a different tune.

I'd like to see the e-mails as well, and what you wrote to him in the first place. They have responded a few times on OLS and have been nothing but nice. I'm a little hesitant to believe that unprovoked he insulted potential customers.

Classic Heartland offers several trips - I wonder if......
one of the hotels mentioned in the trip descriptions could be contacted (many have 1-800 numbers) and we can play detective and ask if they are sponsoring a hotel stay for a Classic Heartland Contest.

What do you think of that idea? That is one way to see how legite they are!

I have actually won from Classic Heatland.I have mentioned this in several "anti" Classic Heartland threads. I won a guitar and guitar case. They notified me by email and telephone. I received the guitar and case within 10 days of being notified. They could not have been more cordial ( in the email and on the phone.)
Bash them if you want, don't enter their contest if you choose but please don't ban them from this website.

1. I'd like to see a copy of the email you sent to them.....I don't think it is polite to send a company an email complaining about their contests. If you don't like them, don't enter them!

2. I have never personally won from Woman's Day, SHakefire, and a bunch of other sites....but i still enter....

3. Just because no one has spoken up about a win with Classic Heartland doesn't mean someone from OLS hasn't won.....their are plenty or lurkers and those that avoid the forums all together!

4. OLS is not the only people on the internet entering contests.....it is plausible that if they get 850,0000 entries into their contests that someone not on OLS would win!

My opinion is you should direct your energy toward entering sweepstakes and stop trying to police them!

Go ahead and Flame me..... Just my two cents! ( ok really 4 of them)

Not sure if that would work, if CHL is giving away a trip it may be a package deal. When I won my London, England trip British Airways gave it away. They purchased a package that included hotel, transportation, Wimbeldon tickets etc etc. If I had contacted the hotel to ask if they were sponsering they would have been clueless because they are part of a package deal with Wimbledon, does that make sense?
