Belarc Advisor; What's in my computer
Don't think I've mentioned this before (?) but this is a cool, handy download:

http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

I've used it on previous computers, and just installed it on the latest. I'm confident in the privacy statements at the websites (that the system info is kept entirely on YOUR computer, and isn't sent anywhere else...my firewall would have alerted me otherwise...). As with anything else...feel free to do what I did, and wander around the main Belarc site before deciding if this is for you.

Anyway, Windows certainly has ways of getting info about your system hardware and software. But the Belarc Advisor provides more info, and keeps it in a single page. Plus it is dynamic...so if you add additional software or hardware, it will include that stuff the next time you open it. An especially handy feature, if you're like me and tend to lose software license numbers ~ it lists all your Microsoft info; plus all the patchs you've added.

Good stuff!

GC,

If you like belarc, which is good, check out AIDA32. Gives even more info and has some handy options. Think I ran across this at TechTV.
