There should be a worth while sweeps section

Do not get me wrong I really love this site BUT on the main sweep page there needs to be a link for " sweeps that are worth while "

This will cut out the

Recipe sweeps
Essay Sweeps
Win a book or cd sweeps
Photo sweeps
No transportation trip sweeps
Must pay shipping sweeps
Email entry sweeps ( oops , I currently have an email entry MOC going on right now )
Search engine to win sweeps
play games to win sweeps

It would be sooo nice If I could go through sweeps for the day and not have to see any of these.

Or better yet you should be able to customize what kind of sweeps you see and don't see while going through the sweeps for the day .

What is worthwhile is soooo subjective. I for one think the odds are a lot better on recipe and essay contests and have won both because there are less people who want to bother to enter. Also, email entries are not a big deal at all to me. If you only add the ones you want to your mysweeps you only have to see them once when you add new sweeps so maybe that will take care of some of your frustration? Anyways, I have been procrastinating on entering the end of months so good luck to you, hope you win the prizes that are worthwhile to you.

Exactly - one man's junk is another man's treasure - so to speak - we all have our own thoughts as to what is "worthy" for us to enter. In some of the new features we hope to have a button that you can get rid of those you no longer want to see - then you can create your own "worthwhile" sweeps and not see those you don't care to see

I'm glad we don't have the 'sweeps that are worth while' because a lot of what you want to exclude are worth entering for me.

Everyone has a different idea of what a great contest is. I like some essay contests (and have won some of them) while I see that you don't like them.
It wouldn't be fair to those of us that like them to exclude them from the daily listings(?)

I know I guess I'm getting too dreamy about being able to see only the sweeps I want too

Awesome idea, DO NOT enter any essay sweeps. They are bad very bad. Just kidding,

My 5,000 dollar win was an essay. It was so worthwhile to pay for a dream vacation for my 6 yo son to Nickelodeon hotel, pay bills and have $$$$ for Christmas.

Heck I would prefer it if noone but me entered the essays.

BTW, I leave all the scavanger hunt entries for those of you like them.

I saw that someone else here mentioned they would like the ability to put their own "sticky notes" onto each sweep with information that was available for only them to see. I would love to have that option here ....would be nice if you had read through the notes and saw one was ummmm... particularly worthless to you then you could see it and know not to bother.
I for one glance over them when they are first posted and then sometimes run across them again before they expire. If I havent entered them already and time is of the essence , it takes time to go back though the lists of notes that others have posted regarding that sweeps for each and every one.
I guess it takes alot to change software that is already in place and maybe even costly in terms of money and time. I am sure the powers that be want to make this the absolute best sweeps web site(already is to me ) and will take our requests to heart and into consideration.
The one things that I would truly LOVE to see is the ability to move into a certain order sweeps that I would like to group together...a group that I do not want to miss emtering....like my fav top 100...and so on and so on. You get teh picture. Like a drap and drop kinda deal and rename our own groupings.

This would be perticularly helpful if you know you won't have time to enter all your daily sweeps and maybe only want to enter all your instants... this is a fantastic idea!
