Plumbing
Ahhh! My toilet overflowed and flooded part of the bathroom. I thought I had it fixed, but then I went to take a shower and that didn't drain. I think something is totally screwed up.

Any do-it-yourself ideas? I'm going to talk to the apt manager tomorrow. Thinking it might be better to just let a pro handle it, but then that's $$$. Oh boy - what a start to the weekend!

apt manager? Are you renting? Call your landlord and have him get it fixed.

Ah, I see.

Sounds like you have a plugged drain - you could rent a snake and try to clear it yourself before you call in the pros.

Try using the plunger on the bath drain too. When using the plunger, use quick, fast, strong strokes.

Yup - it will do that. All drains have that icky stuff. Keep trying that. I edited my previous post about the plunger.

I have no idea. I live in a huge apt complex. I'm thinking it's probably just my plumbing.
