Use a hand towel dampened with hot water--as hot as you can stand. Place it over the honey and let sit for about 5 minutes. It should soften the honey so you can wipe most of it up. Repeat the process if the honey is really deep.

10,000 ants should do it.

You could try this, damp a dishrag, use a warm iron (not too hot) and iron the dishcloth over the honey, hopefullly it should melt it enough to wipe right up.

As you slide down the banister of life, may
the splinters never point the wrong way.

Hair dryer? Goo Gone is a good suggestion as well. Good Luck.

Goo Gone is a good method. Perhaps even baby oil.

Me I'm terrible, I use a razor blade.

Honey should come right up with some god ole hot water on a cloth and elbow grease. Just keep rinsing out the cloth and keep washing til it's gone.

No need for that - and it may damage the countertop - I don't know, I've never used it.

Honey is water soluable - just keep washing the area with warm, soapy water.

I always thought spilled honey was pretty easily wiped up, like ketchup or jelly or something. Did it spill somehow when you were away and dried up? My only suggestion is what another poster said. Just keep scrubbing it with very hot water and a dishcloth. Any kind of chemicals might do something to the countertop.

Or just leave it alone for a couple of days, and maybe it will completely dry up and you can peel it off like dried glue.
