5 minutes of your time would help me

I have started a new business and developed a website. I have asked a few friends and family to check it out and give me feedback but, you know how that goes everyone wants to be nice to you. I am asking a few of my fellow members here to take a few minutes to check my pet sitting site out and give me feedback if you were able to find the services, view photos and see contact information easily. Also, if you liked what you saw. If you would be willing to participate in my experiment please PM me and I will send you the website. I PROMISE I AM NOT TRYING TO SELL YOU ANYTHING. Most of you live no where near me and I really am just hoping to get a handful of you willing to give me HONEST EVEN IF IT HURTS feedback.

Thank you for all of your input so far. There have been just a handful so far and I value your comments. This is the kind of feedback I can not get from friends or family. Once you have a chance to look at it you can pm me or post it here. I don't mind public humiliation... I would rather get it now then loose business later.

thats an interesting business you have. whenever i went on vacation to vegas with my husband we had my family take care of our dog. and when husband was in the army and would be a way id have my family help me by coming over and letting the dogs outside, give them food and water, play with them, thank god for my family... i cant afford to pay someone else to come do this stuff for me , too expensive! and it defeats the purpose of me going to work just to pay someone to take care of my dogs. might as well stay home.good luck with ur business.

Pet of the Month is coming too. I am trying to make this fun for the viewers.

that is one reason I started this business. I found prices too high here. The average cost for service is higher than my prices. I also give good discounts for repeat customers, lengthy contracts and for many other reasons. I should probably just make a window with one of my precious cuties and explain that.

Around here it would be at least $15 per night at a vet boarding in a small cage. It seems like a great deal.

My two pups are lucky that they go visit Grandma and Grandpa when we go away and they have acres out in the country for their walks and a pond to sniff. If Grandma's was not available, I don't know what I would do with my dogs. I don't like the vet cage option.

I have done pet sitting for my neighbor -- I never knew I was worth money. Actually, a professional is different and of course they must charge for their time. I went to see and feed kitty twice a day and did watering plants and mail, much like your vacation service. Kitty was very lonely when her Mom went on a two week trip though. She did not want a lot of personal attention, mostly just "feed me now".

I wish we had pet nannies here for $15 a day. I usually have friends come over, but it's tough especially during the holidays when everyone leaves town!

Thanks guys.. I sure appreciate everyones good, bad and uglies... I will be updating over the weekend.. I was a little nervous about posting this and having someone think it was trying to get business. I have gotten great response both positive and negative. Most of the things I think I can change. A few of them I am not sure I will be able to. I got this website through joining my local chamber of commerce, it is a new service they offer the members and I jumped on it. I am not great with computers and you have all helped me more than I can say.

Please forgive me.... I haven't had a moment of spare time to make your changes yet or to enter mysweeps.. I hope to do it tonight. The changes ARE COMING. I valued your input, in fact I am sending them to the people who helped me make the site to improve thier business as well. They need more input from the general public. Normal people like you. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate you help and will update this as soon as I take care of what I can. I am paying to upgrade my site to include the suggestions that I can not take care of at this time and will post again or PM those whose suggestions are taken care of then. Just wanted to let you know that I truley do appreciate it.

One other thought -- you may want to describe or show a map of the area you cover, so that you don't disappoint people who live too far away. On the other hand, if you are willing to travel to Brooklyn, I have a couple of kitties who need a good, reliable sitter.

That is also one of the suggestions I am trying to figure out what to do with. I was thinking of just putting Southwest Valley. For most of us who live here they know what area that is. I am pretty sure Brooklyn is just a little bit out of the geographical area though I am sorry to say. One of my favorite clients is a 14 yoa cat. She is on the website a couple of times. I will update when the changes are made at the rate I am going will be a couple more days. Have to wait for my guy to see if I am going to upgrade the whole site so I have more options or just a few things.
