Popup ads
I was wondering if OLS was starting to allow pop up ads? I have my blocker set to allow pop-ups at OLS because of the shazam feature. If OLS is now allowing pop-ups, I would like to know so that I can stop allowing them here.

I am asking because I have been getting pop-ups trying to access the forums, not even when sweeping. I'm hoping it is just a glitch because the site was having problems. I have to say the Eversave pop-ups are already getting old.

Thanks for any insight.

I'm not getting any pop-ups, but this has happened to me before because of a trojan horse that infected my PC. Run your spyware, you may have gotten a bug on your computer. What Anti-malware are you using?

What's up the the new avatar and siggy. I barely recognized you!

I am running Micrpsoft antispy. I just thought it was odd that I was getting Eversave pop-ups and didn't know if there was a change in advertising policy here!

Thanks for the tip CL.

I've decorated my part of OLS for Halloween! If the spyware you use doesn't find it, I can offer you some suggestions using freeware that might help you clean it up. Just let me know okay?

nope, no pop ups here. Spyware Doctor ROCKS, it was worth the money because we were cursed with something that freeware could not resolve. Good luck

Maybe that is why people have been warning against the Eversave sweeps.

After speaking to several tech heads, after my PC crashed last spring, I use the following Programs on my laptop and PC now.

AVG
Ad-Aware SE
Spybot Search & Destroy
Spyware Blaster
Spyware Guard
Zone Alarm
CleanUp!

All of these are the free-ware versions. There is not one Anti-malware program available that can guard against everything out there. So far this Mult-prong protection approach has worked for me (furiously knocking on wood here!)
