Moving question.......
Okay... as some of you know, I have bought a house.
I know the address, but of course, I don't have a phone number yet over there.
I'm moving anywheres from May 1st.- June 20th, most likely the day of the 20th...

For the sweeps that end, say June 21st on, should I use the new address and my old telephone number?

Should I just wait to put in sweeps closer to the time that they expire, even though, I probably won't get time to?

Or, should I just leave all sweeps alone til after the move?

I don't wanna miss any wins! The mail will be forwarded, of course, but I live in an area where UPS just drops things at the doorstep. What advice can you give me?

Mods, PLEASE don't move this. I need all advice as I can get!

I consider you all my friends. I don't have time for the friend thing. But thank you for thinking of me all the same

I don't have any advice, but I am in the same boat. We bought a house about 4 hours from here and are in the process of selling our existing home. I am almost afraid to enter things at the moment, because I have no idea what will happen if I win. I am definatly going through sweeps withdrawl. The house we bought has no mail delivery, so we would have a post office box and we can't set that up until we move there. I swear I am going to pull my hair out over this...
Good luck in your move!

do you have a cell phone that you could use as the new # until you get your home # hooked up?

As soon as we knew we were moving, I started using my parents address for freebies and sweeps. (With their permission of course ) I didn't get any big wins during that time so I didn't have to worry about affy's or anything like that. 3 years later an occasional freebie will still show up at their house. Maybe you can find someone willing to let you use their address?

We are in the process of moving too. Should be completely moved by this weekend. I have already started using my new address for sweeps. You can call the phone company and have them forward all calls that come to your old number to your new number when you get it. If it was me, I would use my old number and new address until you get your new phone number. We are moving in with my inlaws until we find a new house so I just use their address and phone number for now. The guy that bought our house wanted us out on the day of closing and we haven't found a new house to buy yet. So I will have to do this crap all over again in a few months when we find a house. Sheesh!

And you can call UPS and have them forward your packages. I think they do it for like a year or 18 months or something like that. I just called them yesterday and did it all over the phone. They call back and verify the change with with you once its entered in their system. It was easy. I haven't called FedEx yet to see if they have a forwarding program.

HTH!

You might look into seeing if you can get mail delivery at your new house....maybe a mailbox set up out front. I don't even know if that is possible. But a lot of sweeps won't accept a PO Box number in an entry. Some require a physical address.

There is no mail delivery in the whole town. I have a physical address I am going to combine with my PO Box. It won't be a problem. Just a problem until we actually move there.
