Finally got my full set of dentures
After wearing a top immediate denture for about 4 1/2 months I finally got my full set of dentures yesterday.
They look good, they seem to fit ok,but had trouble eating with the bottom denture,I am hoping I will just have to get used to it,it feels so weird after no having bottom teeth so long, need to just practice maybe?
They are not as gummy as the immediate denture which I like and I could have had them made so I would have a perfect smile but I have always had a little overbite so I kept it,I like my little overbite.
Anyway hoping eating will get easier with the bottom.
It was a long road but I can say I am glad I got it done,I know it was affecting my health and before I had them pulled I would get these bad headaches 2 or 3 times a month and since they were pulled I have not had 1.

What if the hokey pokey is what its all about?

Confession: losing my teeth is one of my greatest fears. Have nightmares were they shatter or someone punches me in my mouth.

Really hope it works out for you...

I'm sure you will get used to them. If anything changes in my mouth, my tongue is right there poking it until I get used to the new feeling being the new normal.

So my bottoms were not fitting to snugly so I went to the dentist Monday to have them send to the lab for a hard reline I thought they would be only sending the bottom but then i was told the top would also have to go back and be relined too(even though they fit well and did noit have any problems with them)
So I am back to wearing my top immediate denture which is now to big,I put plenty of adhesive in but they are still shifting around,my 2 front teeth instead of being where they should be shift around and it looks my 2 front teeth are now under my left nostril I am sure if i sneeze they are going to fly out of my mouth and after wearing my new dentures these are so uncomfortable, they seem huge.
I am supposed to go back Monday and get my dentures back,it could be worse,at least I am not toothless

I got my new partial a couple weeks ago. Dont know if it will apply to you, but my dentist said to expect blisters in my mouth. He said it would be like wearing a pair of new shoes. I got them - bad. But after a couple days they went away. Wishing you good luck & good chewing & lots of smiling!!!

not happy tonight, went and got my dentures back, the bottoms fit better but now am not liking the top,it is to gummy now, before when i smiled both the top and bottom would show, now just the top shows and it does not look good,i was so happy with the way the top looked before,i wish i would have not taken them back in for a reline now, have to go back in again, its been 6 months,i just want to be done with this.
