Views on Reality shows
Whats everybodies take on Reality shows, (Survivor, Big Brother, Amazing Race, etc...)? I see that CBS is casting for Season 5 of Big brother and im considering applying, and just curious what everyone thought... I think that would be an excellent win to be cast on a show(and an even better win if i won the prize money!)!!

I like Big Brother. But I'd never go on one. I am too private.

I love the reality shows this season and I never did! But The Apprentice and Average Joe and Big, Ugly Fiance hooked me. I dont like any CBS shows.

I love certain reality shows, and hate others.
I think all the dating ones are lame. (The Bachelor, Average Joe, etc.)
I love Survivor, Real World, The Apprentice, and Newlyweds!!!

The idea of going on one of them seems fun - but I don't think I'd actually do it cause I value my privacy and alone time.

What have I won?

I like some of them; survivor, amazing race, Joe millionaire. I think some of the networks are going a little overboard though.

Reality shows
I hate reality shows. They are dumb, stupid and the people on them are nothing but dumb as well. In fact there is really not too much worth watching on TV anymore.

I'm hooked!
I have a couple of favorites (Survivor, American Idol) but I really don't care for any of them on Fox, their so cheesy. I watched some of the Big Fat Greek thing, too stupid. I've watched NBC's Average Joe, its too staged for me.

I've lived overseas for the past six years so I've never watched Big Brother and missed Real World big time, I loved that show. In fact, this is the first time for me seeing American Idol. Its so good to be back

Television stations are having more and more reality t.v. shows because it is cheaper. These people are not actors or actresses and the fight/battle to "win" something. From money to jobs.

The cast of "Friends" were being paid millions of dollars. . . . . per show. But to fork over 1 million dollars to one person at the enen of a plethora of shows is a better bargain. No talent (reality), and less money (money or job). But these shows just bring in ratings, etc. These shows don't get Academy Awards, like the actresses of "sex and the City". It mostly all about the money. Not the prestige of the show, actors, writers, staff, producers, and directors.

There is nothing worthwhile that doesn't have a cost.

I think it would be kind of fun for you if you're up for complete scrutiny and 24/7 cameras.
Just remember not to pick your nose or adjust yourself the whole time you're there. LOL.
Seriously, though, all your bad habits will be game for the cameras, all the women that might have thought about dating you will know the real you (I'm assuming you're a guy by your avatar.) It's a big risk to put your whole personality on display, but that's the name of the game. If you decide to go for it, post your name up here if you are accepted so we can root for you!

Personally I think most actors/ actresses don't have talent! I think the reality shows)most) are unscripted and much more interesting!

I forgot to ask about Average Joe with Larissa. What was with Gil? I don't get it. He was mad kicking the sand and just up and left because she dated Fabio in the past. Who cares. She's no tdating him now and Gil was the one she picked. Someone explain this to me. Poor Brian. He's better off without her anyway. He was the best for her but you know she was never going to pick him. Looks are only temporary, personlaity, integrity, sincerity, passion , love I guess these did not matter to her. Her loss.
