Do you block trackers?
I just got a new computer and the virus checker keeps telling me I am being tracked by Google Analytics on just about every site I go to. I do not have a gmail account or G+ or whatever their social site is called, and I do not use the Google search engine. What does it mean they are tracking me? It give me the creeps. I started telling the program to block Google Analytics.

Google Analytics is very widely used to track aggregate data about website visitors - how many visits a site receives, from what regions, using what browsers, what pages were most frequently viewed, etc.
It does not report IP addresses or other information about individual site visitors. It also has nothing to do with any of your own Google accounts, or lack thereof. In other words, it's nothing to worry about. Annoying that the message would pop up all the time, though!

Additionally, in Firefox, go to Tools, Options and click on Privacy Tab.
Check the box at top ... "Tell websites I do not want to be tracked." Click OK.
