Question Can anyone help with error redirect message?
I keep getting this message everytime I try to go to a different website. I have to open up a new tab or window so as not to get the message. It only happens when I type a new website into my address bar. I put IE as my default program. I don't know what else to do. Anybody have any suggestions? Thank you in advance. This is the message I get:

res://ieframe.dll/acr_error.htm#lohud.com,http://www.lohud.com/

It's not just lohud, it's every website. That's just an example.

I did get rid of my Verizon Fios and got Comcast like 2 weeks ago. I don't know if that helps.

And yes, I HAD to. I had no other choice but to get Comcast. LOL

Are you using Internet Explorer 7, 8, or 9?

Try reverting to the old version by going to control panel - add, remove programs, then uninstall IE. You will be asked if you want to go back to the previous version. Say yes.

Thank you - I will try that. I'll let you know what happens.

Internet Explorer is not on the list of programs. I don't know how to uninstall it. And I'm not doing anything wrong - I know how to uninstall a program, but it's not there. I don't know what to do now. Maybe a system restore? I don't want to do anything till I hear from you guys.

I still haven't done any of the suggestions but I will and thank you. It's just so annoying. I'm constantly getting booted off and anytime I want to go somewhere I have to open up a new window instead of just typing in the address bar. I've just been too lazy this week to try and fix it. But I will! Thank you all!

Control Panel, add/remove programs. On the left, there is Add/Remove Windows components. Internet Explorer is in there. Click the check box to remove it, and it will ask if you want to go back to the previous version.
