FB Warning message
Did anyone else get a message on FB warning that their account will be closed because of profane language? I got this weird message, and it looks like a scam to me (strange characters). It also said to click "here," which made me suspicious. Let me know if you got this.
Thanks,
Louise

LOL, Rocksea, neither do I! That's why I thought it was so odd. I just do normal family/friends stuff on FB and sweeps.

But that's the thing: I never use profanity on FB! I'm thinking it's a scam because it provides a link to click on, and I've never seen that on FB before!

I don't believe (but could be wrong) that you can't get a warning because of your "language" on facebook. Theres something known as the First Ammendment that still protects us if we wish to use more "colorful" words...even on Facebook, and many people choose to do so.

As long as Facebook isn't the goverenment, it has the right to regulate speech on its platform. The First Amendment protects your speech from the government only.

Quote:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Anything like that that requires you to click on a link should be viewed with suspicion (sp) and I would really think twice before clicking on it.

I'd say scam, there are a lot of pics posted with profanity, if it was not allowed those would be closed down and unable to post.
