Talking SNAIL MAIL FUN Group aka SMF (2012)
Welcome to the Snail Mail Fun Group
aka SMF

(Inception December 2005)

Due to some people who joined only to receive without ever sending anything in return, your first item should be sent out within 2 weeks of joining. There is no minimum or maximum dollar amount set for what you can send; YOU decide. Snail Mail Fun members have received everything from postcards to jewelry and more.

Thank you !! I'm very excited about rejoining the group.

I will try to get the likes done as soon as I can.

I'm in Mexico for the Holidays, been here since before Christmas and don't want to go back! It's been nice to see friends, and some family members. My grandma is not doing well, main reason why we came here.

Tonight I plan to do all the crazy New Year's traditions! I think New Year is one my favorite "Holidays". Do you do of the traditions? From red undies, to 12 grapes, to running with a suitcase - the more I learn the more I like to do lol... is fun! Dinner is going to be tamales and pozole. What are you doing?

I have such a bad cold first one of the year! To close the year... sore throat, runny nose, headache, all the fun.

Best wished for 2012 to all the SMFers!

Thank you for the wonderful Welcome Back everyone.

I will do my best to get to the Likes/Dislikes later today - unfortunately I woke up with a stomach bug and am snuggled up in my chair for the moment.

Happy New Year's Eve to you all!!!

Looking for a fun gift? Several New styles and products added! http://www.zazzle.com/tinamarina71

WHOOPEEEE!!!

Welcome "home" Adriana & Tina! I know a few of us have been talking with you in the coffee klatsch thread, but it's even better to have you both back here! Awesome way to start the year! But please ladies, leave your germs at home when you enter this thread!

LOL...we do the red underwear and grapes in our family, but I've NEVER heard of running with a suitcase!

Please excuse the cross-posting, but I posted in the 2011 thread before I realized we moved here, so...

Rich goes back to DuPont day after tomorrow. I'm not due back to teach again until the 23rd, but I have some projects to complete, so I'll probably try to get back to it later this week or next Monday at the latest. Wow...that was fast!!!

Hope y'all are having a wonderful New Year's Eve!!!

We are keeping it kinda low key and introverted, because we are sort of all hoopla-ed out! We plan to watch a season of a favorite televion show on DVD this evening. We are ordering Chinese Food and saving our fortune cookies for midnight - sort of like a fortune for 2012. (This is the plan, but the reality is that Rich has NEVER made it past 10:00 pm, so I'll probably ring it in alone as usual...peaceful and pleasant way to start a new year.)

Tomorrow we'll head into town to watch the Hummer's Parade and then return home to eat corn bread and black eyed peas made with the Christmas ham bone for luck in the New Year (old southern tradition.)

I wish you all a winning and joyous 2012!

LOL...well, I know that wearing red underwear for luck and getting a coin in our slice of cake for luck comes from my Father's family, so they are Spanish traditions.

I know that eating black-eyed peas for prosperity in the new year comes from my Mother's family and is a southern tradition.

I have no idea why we eat a dozen grapes for our 12 wishes for the new year...Anybody???

What do y'all do?

Welcome back 'new' members!

We have all gotten into a bad habit of staying up late and sleeping late. Kids and I are off until Wednesday, but hubster has to go back Tuesday. I am guessing that none of us will be going to bed early tonight.

Here's wishing everyone a great Saturday and a

Happy New Year!
