For those who have lost someone dear...And missing them this Christmas...
For those among you who has lost someone dear this year...and years before
I thought this is timely to share with you and your family:

Christmas in Heaven...

I see countless Christmas trees
Around the world below
With tiny lights like Heaven's stars
Reflecting on the snow

The sight is so spectacular!
Please wipe away that tear,
For I am spending Christmas
With God this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs
That people hold so dear,
But the sounds of music can't compare
With the Christmas choir up here.

I have no words to tell you
The joy their voices bring.
For it is beyond description
To hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me,
I see the pain in your heart,
Even though I am so far away,
We really aren't far apart.

So, Be happy for me, little one,
You know I hold you dear.
Be glad I'm spending Christmas
With God this year.

I send you a special gift
From my heavenly home above,
I send you each a memory
Of my undying love.

After all "Love" is the gift
More precious than gold.
It was always most important
In the stories God has told.

Please love and keep each other
As God has said to do.
For I can't count the blessings
Or the Love He has sent for you.

So have a Merry Christmas
And wipe away that tear,
Remember, I'm spending Christmas
With God this year.

Thank you for the cry! (Just to explain, it was more of a "I know she's in a better place cry.) Missing my mother so much. She passed this year in February. As I held her hand when she passed, I told her she better be having an awesome party up there. I'm pretty sure she is!

Thank you so much for posting that. It's been less than ten weeks since my husband passed away. We'd been married for 46 years, and during all that time he was my lover, my best friend and companion, and my source of strength, so despite the help of friends and family this has been a very sad holiday season.

I reacted to the poem the same way you did -- it made me cry, but it also comforted me tremendously. I've copied it to print out and carry with me to help me through the rest of the Christmas season.

God bless you for being so thoughtful and sharing with the rest of us who need help and find it in the poem you found for us.

My Mom died in August. It will be a sad Christmas for her 9 children and 26 grandchildren.

Woke up this morning and read your response....And others too.......

God answered....

Thank you for posting this poem. My Dad passed away 4 weeks ago, and I will share the poem with my family.
