Can We Talk?
This is the only place I know where the forums are set up for a real time communication. I have no one to talk to about the Corona Virus in anything close to real time. Not just for me btw. TY

It's a moving target and varies widely with your particular area. You are in Vegas, we have kids there, but we are in Florida. Florida just shut down all restaurants except for take out or delivery. Beaches are all closing Monday. Schools and Universities are closed. Who knows what's next. Good, luck~ stay tuned to your local TV for your area impacts.

Remember
Covid 19 does not care about race, religion, borders or politics
It is not typical of anything we've dealt with before.
Try to stay healthy & stay busy with other things so
U don't constantly stress on the news.

I'm praying for the entire world AND
watching any humorous programs I can find

Also calming stuff on explore.org.......lots of

As you know we have been shut down for a bit. I don't watch TV but I am a social media junkie and I read books. I hope your kids are are safe, but if you need me just holler. I haven't been out except to walk since last Saturday, and I don't intend to go out unless I have to.

Here in Minnesota, people are asked to socially distance themselves, work at home where possible, and many stores are closing down until April.

Seniors over 65 are asked to stay home.

The Mall of America, the largest mall in the USA, has completely shut down until further notice. Shelves are bare in supermarkets, and people are getting worried.

Restaurants, bars, libraries, gyms and schools are shut down, again until "at least" April. The governor does not want to totally force everyone to stay home, and according to the law, that may well be unconstitutional. They are debating that in Washington.

In my suburb, with our big park and nature and wildlife area across from my home, it is strangely quiet with very little traffic. The park entrances have been blocked off, and even the usual dog walkers and joggers are staying home.

As a homebound senior, I am happy to have my big library of books, my computer, and my TV. These are strange times, indeed.

experts are stating to not totally isolate. Get out and walk your neighborhood/area - just practice the distancing rules. The yard of the trucking company I work for backs up to a river that runs through out our city. Through renovations and such, we have a VAST system of walking/biking trails there, as well as all along the river as it runs through the city - miles and miles of trails. I stepped out on to the yard yesterday (it was a balmy 75 degrees), and noticed whole families riding bikes - space out about 3-5 minutes apart from each other, with individual riders in groups of maybe 3-4. They were laughing and appeared to be really enjoying themselves.
So...again, don't totally isolate yourself. There are ways to get out and about safely. Sunshine and outdoors - it does a body good!

Getting fresh air and sunshine are important to your health! Go for a drive if allowed, but donít go into crowds.
Some places are really shut down, not sure what you can do there.
It will pass like the other times weíve had health scares. Itís just that this one hit hard.

Reach out to your state offices if you need help for food.

Stay away from all the negative..

Social media is nice to an extent.

WTH does me knowing you or not, have to do with anything?

I simply asked if you had a phone and someone to talk to. THAT is ''real time" communication.

Yes, forums are helpful in discussing things, however sitting around for mins or hours waiting for someone to respond, is NOT 'real time' communication.

You sounded like you wanted someone to talk to........THAT was my point.

Not covid19, influenza A and broncitus at the same time.
ended up with 100+ mile ambulance ride, 2 days in ICU and a week in the hospital. Been home about 2 weeks now and going absolutely stir crazy.

everyone stay safe and healthy.

Thanks for the kind offer, but they should be okay. He works in the theater industry there, and had his hours cut from 60 to 20 to zero in only 3 days..

Stay safe yourself, and only go out if it's necessary. You don't know where the person next to you has been or what he has been exposed to. And they probably have the same fear of you.

I feel bad for those losing a loved one,
then not being able to have a funeral until all this has passed
