Aside from the sea turtles, there was a time when a few Lucky Pennies would buy some Taffy.

You were lucky to get to see them in person.

I had to visit several stores to find asparagus for today. Does that count?

That's a stretch for sure, but we will allow it. I have had good luck with frozen asparagus, actually turns out better (for me) than the fresh spears.

I've never tried frozen asparagus. I roast my asparagus in the oven, so I'm not sure if frozen would work. The last 2 bunches of fresh asparagus haven't been that great, though. They weren't as tender as usual.

Properly cooking asparagus is almost an art, it's tough to get the desired texture without being under cooked or overcooked. I don't have that problem with Wine though.

Or, if you've had enough wine, I guess you don't care how well the asparagus is cooked.

Which gets pickled first, the chef or the asparagus?

The chef as he would quickly lose interest in the asparagus. Alas he would not be in any shape to make us Blueberry Cheesecake.

We definitely need some blueberry cheesecake, so let's keep the chef sober.
