If you search for dripping tub faucet on youtube, you might see one that is just like yours. Or don't worry about it, either way.

The faucet is pretty old, so I guess a part is worn out in it. It's a Delta, round crystal knob. Maybe I could find a video about it.

I know that you've kind of put your reno project on hold, but have you made any more plans at all or gotten any more materials?

I have made an appointment with another contractor that I wanted to see before - but they were booking in August and that was wayyyyy too far away. LOL

I went to get my 2x2 tiles for the shower floor, but when I reached for a box, some broken piece in there somewhere cut my hand. I had to go to customer service for a band aid.

Did they offer you anything other than a band-aid? Like a discount? Some people would probably have thought about suing them for injuries. I hope there aren't a lot of broken tiles in the boxes since you can't use those.

It was a tiny scratch on the side of my hand, but it was bleeding a fair amount. A band aid was all I needed. I told them there was something near those boxes, as it wasn't the box itself. I will get the tiles another day. Seems like I have time.

For some reason, I was thinking it was the tiles in the box that cut/scratched you.

August is almost here, so if that contractor can see you then, you won't have a long wait.

The hubs is going to be away a lot in the fall, so I might as well spare myself some grief and get work done when he is not here....

He doesn't get to go to Hawaii again, does he? Doing the work while he's gone would probably be a wise move.

No, but he is going to Europe and to Japan & Korea on another trip. Frequent flier miles galore!

But he and his team won't get to see much more than airports and hotel rooms, or so he says.

Renovations are annoying for anyone, sure. Inconvenient, of course. A hassle, no doubt. But adults can ride through those brief times to enjoy the results. Little brats whine and complain constantly.

Hopefully, you will hear a minimum of whining and complaining, if none at all is impossible.

I thought that might be the case, unfortunately.

So the MIL called to chat last night. I actually haven't talked to her in a while. The hubs and FIL speak about every week, but the women folk are usually left out. Anyway, she asked me how the reno was going. Uhhhhhh....

She said not to worry about it, as there is no problem until the bathroom is demo'ed. But I said there are boxes all over the place and a bathtub in front of my bed. OCD people do not like to live with chaos.

I didn't mention it, but I also worry that if some of these fixtures are defective, I'll be SOL since I've had them for a long time.

It can be a worry if you buy a product and don't use it for a while. We once bought a combination dvd player/recorder which also had a vhs player. We had a lot of old vhs tapes and thought we could transfer them to dvd. We already had a dvd player and we weren't in any hurry to hook up the new machine, so it sat in our spare bedroom for months. We finally got it hooked up and it only worked for a short while. By that time, it was out of warranty, so we were out of luck.

Hopefully, all of your things will be in good working order.
