It's Thanksgiving Eve!!! One of the busiest alcohol establishment nights of the year. Too bad I have to work today or I'd be starting my morning off with a nice spicy bloody mary.

Speaking of Bloody Mary's.....have you seen this?

BACON CHEESEBURGER BLOODY MARY. Normally, a Bloody Mary has vodka, spicy tomato juice, ground pepper and a celery stick, right? In a place called Sobelmans Pub...

& Grill in Milwaukee, WI, they add a skewered shrimp, asparagus, cherry tomato, brussel sprout, hot dog, cheese block and a couple other spherical foods indiscernible from a cursory glance. Then this monster is topped off with an entire 1/3-lb bacon cheeseburger! If that wasnít enough ó which, of course itís not because this is America ó youíre treated to a glass of beer to wash it all down

Budweiser
Still not a Bud fan but took home a case of their new Project 12 recently with hopes that I might actually find some flavor in their new brews. Unfortunately, IMO, they all tasted much like their other brews.

We took the Coors tour several years ago. Hubster and I each got different beers. ALL had the same basic taste. These big brewers just don't know how to brew individual tasting beers.

Years ago I went to Seaworld in Orlando with my stepson and parents and they had free beer samples there. I passed out on a picnic table in the sun and got one hell of a sunburn that day.

Samuel Adams and Dogfish head breweries do well at introducing new varieties. I also like Troegs, Victory and Weyerbacher here in my home state.

I bought an already spiked eggnog at the liquor store yesterday for $8.99, pretty good sized bottle. Already has the whiskey, brandy and cognac in it!

IMO the liquor store variety is best when mixed with some fresh dairy nog.

I need to buy some vodka, because I won a pre-mixed Appletini shaker set. Never had an Appletini before. I am hoping it won't be too sour.

I've got some vodka soaked olives getting ready for a party tomorrow.

America: Love it or give it back.
