It's always nice when Alfy pops in.

I had Emerald mixed nuts, northbluffer. The container says less than 40% peanuts, but that's all that was in my handful.

It didn't seem like much of a royal breakfast to me.

Ooh--I feel so much better. I just took a nice, cool shower. The summer heat and humidity is here with a vengeance. I went out at 9:00 to wash out and refill my birdbath and wash and refill my hummingbird feeder, and I got so hot and sweaty that I couldn't stand it.

Doesn't a shower feel great after you've been out in the heat? I spent three hours outside in the a.m. trimming and moving around yard debris. It's not hot here, but I accumulated a layer of pollen and dust on my body. I showered around 3 .pm., and it felt wonderful to slip my body into clean, dry clothes. Simple pleasures!

Hi everyone. I'm late getting to the forums today. First I was doing a lot of yard work, then I got called out for another rabbit rescue. A domestic rabbit was spotted in our local park. My husband and I and another person went out to try to catch it, but it was already holed up in the thickets due to the heat and a rabbit's nature to sleep during the day. We're going to try again tonight. I sure hope we can catch it. A domestice rabbit can't survive out in the wild for very long at all.

Do have to carry any documentation that you are a qualified rabbit rescuer?
