HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Well 2012 wasn't the worst year I ever had, but 2011 was, so glad we will be moving 1 more year away from that one.

Vickie-Your new years celebration sounds wonderful. Nice and Quiet-just the way we like it.
I can hardly even stay awake to see the ball drop anymore.

Stephen-It seems like every year one of us goes through one of the three D's (depression, death, divorce)-Ugh! Luckily as Tara said we all don't go through hard times at the same time, and we all seem to hold each other up when the other is down. Any of us are here for you any time.

I gotta work tonight. We close at 6:00 so short-shift.
Mark is making nachos tonite, and we are putting on some videos.

Hope everyone has a wonderful, winning, New Year and GOOD-LUCK!

Feeling Nostalgic...
Just popping in one last time this year to show y'all what you and our family/friends/neighbors/co-workers did to our living room wall this season...

We are so grateful for all of you and look forward to meeting up with some of you in 2013 and continuing the long distance love with others...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Received some Cheryl's cookies from D'andra. Thanks! Munching on one or two. My stomach is sick so I have to be careful how much I eat this week.

Going out of town to a conference in Atlanta Tues-Fri.. Hoping that my stomach will cooperate.

Hope everyone is well,

Stephen

Thanks. No cats to snuggle with here. That was about six years ago when I was still in the old trailer I lived in! It seems like so long ago. It just shows how long I've been a member here.

I've pretty much perfected my praline recipe, however I don't make them often. Don't feel like standing over the stove for three hours..

Somedays I miss the pure joys of my youth, but remembering the flipside - that the hurts were more potent as well - reminds me that these mellow years are so much easier.

Like you, I've dealt with chronic health issue for most of my life, so I know now that when I'm feeling ill, it really makes sadness/lonliness/angst even worse. Then add the holiday layer and it is such a recipe for negative emotional overload.

I think I remember that you had a cat with kittens that used to bring you great joy and that you were learning to make amazing pralines! If this is still true, perhaps a kitchen session and a kitty snuggle will help.

For what it's worth, we really do care about you. If you need anything, just ask...

I'm going to try to be awake to watch the ball drop, but that's about it.

I've been three two, depression and death, not married so the third you mentioned isn't possible. I'm hoping next near will be better for all of us, as well.

Love it, so festive! I hang our cards on a long ribbon that I string across the back window in our living room.

We got together with friends last night, and I'm grateful, 2013 wasn't so bad for us, and it could have been so much worse had things turned out differently with Jim's stroke in August.
