Spin Scrubber
It was quiet this morning at work. We always have the TV on but with closed captioning. I noticed this ad for a Spin Scrubber. I decided to check it out once I got home, so I sent myself an email with the site address to my home email.

Half an hour later or so, things had really quieted down, so I thought what the heck, I want to check out that website. Wrong move. I clicked on that link and got an error message, something about porn! And it wouldn't let me shut it down. It had a 800 number to call. I finally got out of it by hitting control, alt, delete. However when I logged back on, I still had it.

So I got in touch with I.T. One of the techs came in about an hour later. He worked on it for about an hour or so but with no luck. He finally decided he and a co-worker will come work on it tomorrow...

So moral of the story, stay off that site...

I never paid much attention to what kind of anti-virus software since it was at work.

When I logged on this morning, everything was fine. Not sure what the I.T. guys did. They did send me an email saying it was some kind of phishing virus. It's a good thing I didn't log in with my credentials when they asked for it.
