Eating in Boston
Hey All --

I highly recommend this restaurant - it is in Boston near the state house. I RECOMMEND you go for Lunch - MONDAY THRU FRIDAY $25 for 3 course LUNCH - one of the choices is a 12 oz NY Sirloin - excellent food!!!

If you’re looking for a more formal (but expensive) dining experience while in Boston, ditch your reservation at The Capital Grille and make one at Beacon Hill’s Moo instead. You’ll be instantly won over the second the waiter brings out the cast-iron pan full of warm bread. And the steaks aren’t too shabby, either! Call (617) 670-2515 for a reservation.

Do you have any recommendations for any inexpensive places right around the hotel, walking distance? Thought I read there was a pizza shop right there.

There's a Cheesecake Factory very close by and when I split a meal with a friend, it's affordable for me.

Here's a link to some other eats: http://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc...c=Boston%2C+MA
click on BACKBAY for location
and click on the ONE dollar sign for the most budget places
The Pour House is close to convention
Trident Booksellers is close to convention but did not see it on the first couple pages of that list
(here's a link to them http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restauran...achusetts.html )

And remember the food trucks are in the area too, near the library.

Use the above link and click on FENWAY for cheap eats near the park.

Bon Boston Appetit!

PS We're going to try to eat at Mike's Dinner while we are there. Fabulous eats at great prices and was on DDD w/ Guy. Just not sure how far it is away from convention.
Great turkey dinners and breakfasts, and I'm pretty sure breakfast is served all the hours they are open
PPS This place comes highly recommended but I haven't tried it yet http://www.seriouseats.com/venue/el-pelon-taqueria
PPPS And this lists a lot of nightly specials http://bostononbudget.com/always-cheap-eats/

Thanks for the ideas. Been checking out the sites and seeing what is available. Mike's looks promising.

There is a Boston Market nearby. Not exactly "destination dining" but reasonably priced, decent food
