Maybe it will actually dry up around here at some point. But the silver lining is that I have not had to water the new trees, the new grass, or the container plants.

I hope you will have sunshine and drier days. Is it still hot in your area? You'd never know that fall is only a few days away here, it still feels like summer.

Non stop rain here from Hurricane Michael. I'm sure there will be flooding in places.

It sure seems that way. A lot of people and animals have been affected by all these storms, and I feel so sorry for them.
Our rain finally stopped late this afternoon, and now we have cooler, drier air.

Crazy weather. Yesterday, we had our a/c on, then after the rains stopped it got cooler, so we turned that off and opened our windows. When we woke up this morning, the house was very chilly and we had to turn on the heat.

It's a miserable day here today. In the mid 40's and it's been raining since last night.

We have snow and ice here and it's still sleeting. It's also windy, which makes it more likely that trees will come down onto power lines. I'm so afraid the power will go out. It flicked off once during the night. If we lose power, we have no backups or source of heat, so it will be miserable. I have come to really dislike winter - and it's not even technically winter yet.
If I disappear, you'll know why.

Hope you kept power today, Chancebunny. Ten inches of snow and still going here in Roanoke -- much above normal for one day, even for one season. Hoping our power hangs on, too. Tomorrow into the 40s.

We've kept power so far. It did flick off again about 8:00 this morning. My sister, who lives a few miles from me, did lose power. But she is lucky in that she has a generator (which they started up) gas logs to keep them warm, and a gas stove to cook on. I have none of those things. This morning, the tv newscaster said that there were 175,000 customers of Duke Energy (my company) in upper SC and parts of NC without power. We're usually included in the power outages due to all the large, old trees in my neighborhood that get heavy with ice and fall on the power lines, but we've been lucky and hopefully will keep the power. I do have a small flashlight in my pocket, now that it's dark. I hope that you will be safe and keep power too.

So odd that you guys have the snow instead of us. I saw how this high pressure cell sitting over our area kept the storm below us. We had none at all until a little flurry started about 4:30. I hope we don’t get much overnight, because I have to drive over an hour to my cardiac appt in the morning.
Fingers crossed we all keep our power. Stay warm and safe, friends.

Luckily, I don't have a pt appointment until Tuesday, but we'll probably get refreezing tomorrow night, so there may be ice on the roads that morning. They cancelled schools here for tomorrow, and my husband's work is cancelled too. I'm glad you didn't get this icy mess, Ravzie, and I hope you have an easy, safe drive tomorrow.

We ended up with maybe an inch of snow that did become an icy mess. Schools were closed here too, fortunately, so traffic wasn’t as bad as usual. I made it to my appt in plenty of time, even dropped off those toys I won recently in the Toys For Tots on base. No delays for the man going to San Antonio.

We're supposed to have a cold rain the next couple of days. The ground is still soggy from all of our previous rains.
