Homemade donuts. Made the mistake of asking DH to "sprinkle a little sugar on them" - ended up with A LOT of sugar. They were tasty though, even with the mountain of sugar.

Pear upside down cake. I always make this in a cast iron skillet. Melt the butter and sugar in the skillet, then arrange the fruit on top of the mixture, pour the batter on top and stick right in the oven. Easy, homey and not too much clean up afterwards.

We've been invited to a friends home for dinner tonight...I've made a Meyer Lemon-Lavender Cake with Lavender Buttercream Glaze,garnished with candied Meyer Lemon Peel to take for dessert.
