Question What's for dessert tonight?
I know that a lot of people don't like to eat dessert, but I always enjoy something sweet after dinner.

Tonight's dessert will be cinnamon applesauce (it is now bubbling away on the stove).

What are you having for dessert tonight?

We rarely have any formal desserts. I am craving the cake mix with cream cheese frosting that I have in my pantry. Hmmmmm

We rarely have dessert after dinner at home. Sometimes when we go out, but rarely even then. "Dessert" in our house usually means fruit.

A lot of it this time of year though. I made cookie tins to send to relatives, and so we've been sampling those for a week.

Tonight was linzer cookies. I bought the Wilton cookie cutter set, and they turned out so cute. I used the recipe from the box. They ended up being the most expensive of the cookies I made because of almond flour and good raspberry preserves, but they were worth it.

Oh baked apples, that is like a childhood memory. I haven't made them lately. yumm!

But, we rarely do dessert. I do make a cake or whatever but normally its a snack.

Probably ice cream. I usually eat ice cream in cold weather instead of the summer, don't know why.

I have a couple of bananas to use up, I just have to figure out what to do with them.

No baking, though. I'm not in a baking mood.

I have the cookies that I was supposed to take to a party yesterday.

Might as well do a little nibbling so they don't go to waste.

I bought a luscious soft, sweet cheese flavored with cranberries and oranges.

I'm going to serve it with grapes and multigrain crackers.
