Shows on Netflix
My daughter keeps telling me about these shows on Netflix.

I have now watched the following shows. ALL have been great!!

1. The Fall: The psychological thriller examines the lives of two hunters -- one is a serial killer who preys on victims in and around Belfast, Northern Ireland, and the other is a female detective drafted from the London Metropolitan Police to catch him.

2. The Missing: A complex, delicate narrative drives "The Missing," a dramatic thriller taking place in two countries and at several times. It begins when Oliver, 5, disappears while his family is vacationing in France, prompting a massive manhunt led by Police Detective Julien Baptiste and Oliver's bereft father

3. River: John River is a genius whose unstable mind leaves him haunted by the ghosts of murder victims.

4. Happy Valley: A police sergeant dealing with personal tragedy investigates cases in a small West Yorkshire town.

Most are British shows and each one of these are excellent. One thing I noticed was that the police do not carry guns. Several times, you are biting your nails because THEY NEED A GUN!!

I have only seen the fall. I thought it was a great series.

Another one I would recommend would be Rectify. I live that series.

I am going to check out the others on your list.

I saw that the other day. Can't wait!

I'm watching a new one called "Run." So far it's good. A thriving but underground drugs business is being run by Dushane ('Ashley Walters') and his friend Sully (Kane Robinson) to become the richest men on the block. To live rich Dushane and Sully go into partnership with top don Bobby Raikes ('Geoff Bell (I)'). Rivalry with Kamale (Scorcher) and his gang results in their loan from Raikes being stolen, and they swear revenge. Thirteen-year old Ra'Nell (Malcolm Kamulete) gradually gets lured into the gang and drug business as his mother Lisa (Sharon Duncan-Brewster) has a breakdown and is hospitalised - with devastating consequences.

I also forgot to mention "Broadchurch" in the first post. It's excellent too!! When the corpse of an 11-year-old British boy, Danny Latimer, is found bloodied and dirty on an idyllic beach, a small Dorset community becomes the focus of a police investigation and media madness

Watching Penny Dreadful on Showtime. You can catch the previous seasons on Showtime On Demand.

Also started a new BBC Netflix show called Coppers. So far just as good as all the other BBC shows

Of course, everyone knows Orange is the New Black, House of Cards and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt are good Netflix shows.

JUST finished Breaking Bad (many, many years after it ended.)

I had seen most of one episode years ago (the box cutter one...shudder!) But without context it was that much more horrifying. I have to say, it'd be like walking in on the Terminus episode of Walking Dead without getting invested in the series FIRST. But MAN was it good!!

I want to watch Broadchurch and The A word next (though I'm not sure the latter is out yet.)

I DO love me some Incredible Kimmy Schmidt though. Great stuff!

I also love the British dramas. Broadchurch Season 1 was excellent. Season 2 was ok, but nowhere near as good as the first. Luther is pretty good as well. My only problem is that I have to have subtitles to understand them most of the time.
