No sound coming through, help- anyone
My hubby tried everything he knows to get the sound back but to no avail.
Anyone know what steps I should take to check the sound on my PC?
thanks in advance

ISLABONITA, do you still have the manual and CDs that came with your computer? What kind of computer is it? If it appears that all the wiring for the speakers is correct and the sound is turned on, I would try re-loading your sound card driver.

Problem with Windows
I have checked the forums and could find an answer. When I have multiple windows open, then I close one of them, they all close. I can't close any windows without being kicked out of IE. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Starting today, there are quite a few sites that are not allowing me to log in because of my cookie settings. I followed instructions to fix it but they are not working. Here are a couple of the messages I have received:

Your web browser is not accepting cookies. Cookies are required to access this forum.

We are sorry this page cannot be displayed. To access it, please complete the following steps:

If this message appeared after you clicked on a link in an email, please copy and paste the desired URL into a new browser window.
If this fails and you are using Internet Explorer Version 6, follow the steps below to change your browser's cookie setting:
In Internet Explorer, click on the Tools menu and then Internet Options.
Click Privacy and then click Advanced.
Click Override default settings, and then specify how you want Internet Explorer to handle cookies from first-party websites.
If you are using a browser that is not Internet Explorer Version 6, please refer to the "Help" section and follow the instructions to enable cookies.

I also had trouble logging in at 2 survey sites. One says, "session expired, log in" and the other just goes back to the log in screen.

Any advice??

Try CHACHA for extra money!! PM me!!

At the top of your browser window, go to Tools, Internet Options, Privacy. Click on Advanced.

There you can see what tour cookie settings are. Most sites require you to accept First-Party cookies, and they sometimes require you to accept third party cookies.

If you have not changed your cookie settings to automatically override cookie handling, then the problem could be with the firewall you're running (Norton, McAfee, etc).

I let the kids play on my computer this morning, and they somehow closed down their game and they did something, I dont even know what, but now everything is HUGE.
Ive tried everything, but I cant get it back to normal.
Does anyone know what to do?
Any help would be much appreciated
Thank you.

What do you mean by "everything" is huge? The fonts, the icons, etc...

Have you tried adjusting your display properties?

I mean everything, everything on the screen, its the strangest thing, and completely irritating.
I did go into my settings and all that but nothing has worked.
I hate calling Dell customer service, so I really hope I dont have to do that.....

Desktop/properties/Appearance/Font size normal/Advanced/Item/scroll down to Icon/
Size/32/Size/8/OK/ this should do it.

I don't have a Mac, but there are options like robo for it. Here's a link to an old thread about it: http://www.online-sweepstakes.com/fo...light=robo+mac

Will even import your Roboform info. Free version is a bit limited but so is the free version of Roboform.
