It's so hot out there. I ran a few errands and I'm soaking wet. I just love walking across hot parking lots in this weather.

Hubby came home from the farm earlier than normal today.
He apparently got so hot out there that he was physically sick!
I made him drink some fluids and take a shower. He is laying on the couch now watching TV.
I think he is feeling better. I really hope so! It stinks being sick on your birthday!

I'm sorry about your hubby feeling bad. Heat can be very dangerous. I hope that he is better.

Tell him that I said Happy Birthday!

Another big storm in the night. Complete with lightshow and hail. Again.

We've had a few thunderstorms lately, but no hail.

A week of severe heat coming up for most of the country.

Hey, Jedi, don't see you popping in here to gloat about the wonderful Arizona weather now!

I was just thinking of Jedi's disappearance the other day.

It continues to be hot and dry here. The grass is dry and crackling when you walk on it and plants are withered.

I have been to Arizona in June - Yikes! I almost melted, so I can imagine what it is like in July and August. However, the lack of humidity does provide some relief - as they say, it's a "dry" heat . I also went there on a trip win once in Nov. That was pretty nice. We were able to go swimming everyday and wear summer clothing without overheating. I wouldn't mind visiting in Jan or Feb, too. I bet that would be nice.

We had some rain, but we need more. The crops are suffering because it is just too darn hot!

I also went to Scottsdale in June. My best pal from nursing school has a house there. We studied for our nursing license boards while we floated in her pool and drove her ex-husband's Porsche to Sedona. There was a kickass thunderstorm one day that was throwing off these way cool neon blue lights across the sky. Never saw anything like it, but I imagine that must be what the Northern Lights look like. It was a great week!

And in case you are wondering, we both passed on our first try. (I was first in the class, she was second so it isn't too much of a stretch that we would pass. )

It is so muggy today I really hated walking the dog.

I cut my walk short because it was so hot and uncomfortable.

Sounds like you had a really nice time in Arizona, Ravzie! And it was cool that you got to see those neon storm lights. Congrats on being first in your class!

Danke. I have often said that if there was money in going to school, I'd be a professional student. I was very good at memorizing facts and regurgitating them on tests.

I need to do some work of some kind today, but I have yet to accomplish one thing.

It's actually raining here. We're having a big thunderstorm right now. I won't have to water tomorrow - yippee!

You have my permission to take a day off, Ravzie.

Too hot and dry here ... ugh

Had to run errands with the little one today (donations to the thrift store, post office, dollar store, grocery store, and visiting with my grandmother) and felt like we were going to melt every time we had to get back into the van.... I feel bad every time I go to take him out of his seat and his shirt or hair is plastered wet with sweat. At least I have a/c, though, it definitely could be a lot worse!

Thanks, bunbun, but I did go and putter around outside for a bit. I just came in and showered the incredible sweat slick off of myself...
