That is beautiful and looks so very cold.

Ravzie, I guess you're still without power. I hope it returns very soon.

Pretty in a very uncomfortable sort of way, lol.

We got power back yesterday afternoon. We had already planned to be out, so we saw a concert and had dinner at our favorite Lebanese restaurant in Bethesda.

We then tried to get things back to normal last night. The heater will NOT turn on. I don't know if the numerous on-off on-off on-offs killed the circuit or something. I am waiting in the cold for the HVAC repairman to arrive.

At least I had my electric binkie last night.

Oops here he is.

I'm glad that you power is back on. Hopefully, the furnace problem will be an easy fix.

It took him about 2 hours to fix my circuit box. As I had guessed, the circuit was blown and the heat pump was not getting any power. He checked it all out to be sure (adding to the bill, of course) and the unit itself was okay.

I can forget about getting a new laundry set right now. I have been trying to find a way to get my old dryer upstairs. I spoke with a guy from the local country 'yard sale' fb page. The old washer will have to remain in use for a while.

It's always something.

I didn't see your post with the dollar signs until now, so I guess it was a pretty hefty bill. You've had a lot of "always somethings" lately. You're due for a break on household repairs. Hopefully you can get your new laundry set before too long.

The hubs asked how much the repair was. I told him he didn't want to know, but he insisted. He did not like what he heard, what a surprise. We had a bit of an argument about that. No clue about what things cost, especially around here. Hey, it's only money and we have an unlimited supply, right?

But I was finally not freezing cold in my own house today. Thankfully!

I'm sure it will be nice and warm outside now that I have had the work done.

Unless your hubby can repair furnaces and circuits all on his own, he has no reason to complain about the cost when a professional is called in.

It's cool here, even getting down below freezing on Thursday night (which isn't good for all that is blooming) so you should still be having cool/cold weather there for a while.

It's such a feeling of relief and happiness after a power failure or furnace/ac repair when your house is finally warm or cool, as the case may be. Glad you're feeling warm again!

Another storm coming in. It is supposed to go just north of us, but I am sure I will still lose power again....

Hopefully, you won't have those high winds, which I assume caused all the problems last week.

It was crappy here today. It never got above 45 and it was dark and rainy. I'm looking at all my flowers blooming and other plants just starting to leaf out with their tiny new growth, and wondering if it will all get damaged by the cold Thursday night.

Actually, we are lucky this time and the big storm is going north of us. Philly I hear is getting socked today and then points north.

I think awssm lives in Pennsylvania. I wonder if he's in the path of the storm?

I noticed that he hasn't posted in any threads today, and wondered if he might have lost power.

He's back, I see.

Nice day today, cold and windy, but clear and sunny.
