This is the most pleasant day we've had here in a couple of months, although it is humid.

I am sure that the nicer weather won't last.
I hear that we are in for another heat wave!

Yes, I know, it's supposed to be back into the mid to upper 90's in a few days, but I'm really enjoying today. We turned our a/c off about 6pm and opened the windows because it was cooler outside than inside.

The heat is back! Low 90's today, building up to the upper 90's by the end of the week.

Continued hot here, in the mid to upper 90's every day.

I'm glad that your hounds, and you, are cool now, droopy.

Uggggh, almost 90 at 10 am, they said 107 with humidity today but I bet it gets "hotter" then that. Couldn't sleep last night and I'm sure tonight is going to be worse.

Probably.
I would have hoped that NY would be a little cooler than down here. I guess I was wrong.

It's so hot and humid in New England that we finally bought our very first air conditioner. DH got it for my upcoming bday.

Wishing & hoping & thinking & praying, planning & dreaming... and entering!

Okay, summer isn't fun anymore. I can't wait until October so I can start sleeping well again.

I think that a good bit of the country is under this terrible heat wave. I feel very sorry for anyone who doesn't have air conditioning.

There was an article in the local paper today about a fan donation drive for the local Senior Citizen Center to donate box fans to any elderly resident who requests one. I thought that I would try to swing by Walmart tomorrow and pick up a couple to donate. I know how hot I am WITH the AC on as cold as I can get it. I can't imagine what it would feel like to do without it!

Every year, my sister goes out and buys fans and donates them to an organization that distributes them to low income families.
