We've been having bouts of freezing rain this morning, even though it's above freezing.

Latest forecast looks promising for this to be a no shovel event. Fingers crossed. DH is not going in to work.

This has been a rotten day. It didn't get out of the 30's, and it either rained or sleeted all day. It's just rain now, at least, but we've had way too much of that lately.

We had about 4 of snow and it has been sleeting ever since. No plows have gone by. We have not gone out.

I would stay in to be safe. Ice is dangerous.

Another day of cold rain here.

The DH went out to shush the sidewalk to the front door and the part of the driveway right behind the garage. That area faces north and gets no sun in the winter, so it doesn't thaw well. The rest of the driveway melts off with a reasonable temperature. I stayed in.

Did Sandy pee in the snow? (Hopefully your hubby didn't.)

Hopefully, the ice on my driveway will melt off soon. I need to go out today.

Besides the cold rain yesterday, it started thundering and lightning about 5pm and continued during the night, along with heavy rain.

If we had that, my driveway would be clear - or a total ice rink.

It sure was freaky to have all that thunder and lightning in February. Although I prefer that over ice. Be careful if you go out. I found out the hard way that a road or driveway can look perfectly fine, then you're on your ass when you slip on black ice.
