The weather has been nice the last couple of weeks, so we've had our windows open, and it's even been chilly some of these mornings, but the heat has moved back in and we had to turn our a/c back on.

Winter storm here. About 6" so far. Weird as yesterday it was a beautiful 60 degrees. Good thing is we're home for the entire day.

Stay safe, droopy!

Very windy and cold today. I am supposed to go out to the stores today, but I am thinking of staying cuddly inside.

We've had a bad drought for several months and bad wildfires in NC and SC the last several weeks, and I was so glad when it finally started raining last week. Now it won't stop raining and it's getting depressing. Everything is soggy, the skies are so gray and bleak and I keep tracking in wet leaves and debris every time I go outside. I've got a battery operated candle in the window with a light sensor that normally turns off when the sun comes up, but it's still on now at 10:30.

We've had mild, pleasant weather, but it turned windy and colder here today, and it will be colder for a few days.

It was 76 today. Never got cold enough in the house for the heat to kick on.

We may get some snow tomorrow, then there will be a hard freeze, which will make the roads bad. We were supposed to have a volunteer day at the Sanctuary on Sunday, but we may have to cancel.

There are some concerts The Buffhunk wants to see this weekend in DC, but he will be going by himself! I am not freezing my rump out there.

They're saying we could get 5 - 8 inches of snow here, which certainly isn't common. If that's the case, we won't be going anywhere for a few days.

It's been sleeting here a little off and on for the past couple of hours. We're supposed to get the snow later tonight. It is strange the the deeper south is getting snow and you aren't.

Biting cold with the wind. Good thing I deployed that removable, reusable Mortite rope like temporary caulking on the downstairs windows. The windows have always been horribly inefficient at the centerpoint between the upper and lower windows, but what could I do? I want to open the windows in the nice weather, of course.

Well, I found out about this stuff from a Bob Vila email or some such. Very good stuff. I can totally feel the difference. Look into it if you have drafty spots like I do.
