You should have went & waited outside!

This was a present, I didn't actually buy it, but it came from a thrit store.

& I decided that I want to have all our wash clothes used in the kitchen to be bar rags, so I have been searching high & low for bar rags. They are really hard to come by, not many thrift stores sell towels this small. I found 2 though, for a quarter each.

PGRIFF, I absolutely love the colours in the first one, the last one is my second fav. Great finds, I love silk!

Our thrift store is having a 50% off sale as I type, I am leaving for it in 30 mins or so. It's just down the street.

cool stuff ironbutterfly, i love it when the cards come with envies.

I went today, they didn't have much new selection since the last time I went but I purchased a nice half size martini shaker. i've wanted one for awhile & the bf was going to buy me one for $16.99 on the weekend. & i'm surprised i found one that had all the pieces! Haven't been able to find one with all the pieces since i started looking for one 8 months ago. paid $1.99.

did see something weird though. they had someones "in memorian" book from a funeral back in 1977 with signatures & personal messages. i always wonder how stuff like this gets donated & why the end up putting it out...

Went to Buffalo Exchange yesterday (not really a thrift store..a lot of the clothes are even brand new with tags.. I guess "gently used" is a better name for them? got a very cute H&M dress for $9. I got a Victoria's Secret Pink Duffle Bag (very nice for a weekend bag) for $20! They sell from $50-70!

I love that bowl PGRIFF. The glasses are great too. How much was the bowl?

How much you pay for the paintings?

Well, I too am a thrift store lover. In fact, I have to tell you that one of the best sweeps wins I ever won was from a local radio station a couple of years ago. I won a 3 minute "dash" through a local thrift store (Value Village). I ended up with about $220 worth of new (to me) clothes, many of which I still have and wear. There were five of us in the "dash" and I came out with the biggest win - the others looked like they "browsed" the three minutes, whereas I had come in a day or two ahead and scoped out what they had and did indeed "dash" through getting a lot of what I had scoped out. Good times!
