Not that I'm trying to justify my time. I'd be sweeping anyhow, even if it didn't add up. I'm sure it will drop off and then a nice win will come in.

I spend more time messing around in the forums than sweeping, so if I thought all of life was equated to a $ amount I'd be in trouble.

Just thought it was interesting.

Pro Bono aside...
I spend about 2 hours a day entering/looking for sweeps...so 730 hours a year...6 months just ended (365 hours) and I made $1150.02 in that 6 months time so about $3.15 an hour!

But my biggest prize was not won online, dh won the $500 & $250 GCs from a radio station....

How much do I make per hour sweeping?
Much more than I ever made writing to epals, trolling for jokes, playing Cascade or Tangleword or JTed, or writing reviews for Amazon.com

...but not nearly as much as I plan to have made by the end of the year

Wins since mid June 2003: 1 box Act II popcorn, 4 bags of M&M's, 1 Twix bar, 1 set of Youthtronix Walkie Talkies (ARV 19.99), 1 Crayola Code Quest Baseball Cap (ARV 14.99), Codequest poster (ARV 9.99), Crayola Color Changeables Markers (ARV 5.16), a case of Snapple Meal Replacement, and ONE MILLION DOLLARS (in my dreams!)

Lets put it this way, the IRS isn't looking to collect any big bucks from this sweeper.

I'm relatively new to "sweeping" and also live in canada so my "sweeps" are limited. I spend probably 1-1/2 hrs per day entering now ( thanks to brent and the "my sweeps" option & roboform) depending on whether or not my adsl is working.
After about a month I have won a day cruise from vancouver b.c. to brittannia beach value of about $150. Nothing big, but I only enter contests that I would really like to win and this is one of them The way I look at it is, something is better than nothing, and I really enjoy all the posts and comradirie of this site. So if you make something doing what you enjoy, is it not better that nothing at what you don't enjoy good luck all keep enjoying and winning

my total winnings for last year came to a little over $100 total with sweeping 2 hrs a day-I must do it for the fun, not the money!

The total ARV for my wins, about $6. The friends I've made and the fun I've had? Priceless.

I think I average about $150.00 per week overall. Some days I hardly enter any sweeps, and other days I am online all day long.

Ironic, today my son asked me just that question........how much do I make an hour sweeping, and is it even worth it.

My answer, not much, but I consider it a hobby, which I really like, and if I wasn't sweeping, I'd probably be playing solotaire! The bonus is, occasionally, I actually do win stuff, albeit small so far, but who knows, the big one may be around the corner!!

I averaged about $9.46 also. Of course a third of that goes to Uncle Sam....

I figure about one dollar and some cents per hour. Yay! Actually, I had never thought of sweeping that way, since it's just a hobby for me, but figuring that out was sort of fun!
