Unhappy Formal Dress for Dinner?
I was on the SweepSheet board and it appears that the dinner at the convention will be a formal affair. Dress up big time. Arghh.

Here's what's posted on the FAQ section regarding the banquet night:

"This is a formal event. The term Black Tie Invited or Black Tie optional are interchangeable and mean to imply that this is a formal event - just as an evening on a cruise or attending a wedding. Consider suits and tie, or the optional tuxedo if you would like. Women wear cocktail, long dresses or dressy evening separates. This is meant as a guideline and not a requirement. Please wear what you are comfortable wearing." (emphasis mine).

Ahhh ok - so not as formal as formal would imply. I know last year there were people very very very dressed up and people in just slacks and a polo - the emphasis was again on what you were comfortable wearing

coljim, I attented the 15th San Diego sweepstake convention and during the day we dressed casual shorts and sandals or t-shirts that we won, and for the banquet we dressed in black slacks like dockers and a nice blouse it wasn't uncomfortable at all, and in the jacuzzi we were in our bathing suits! FUN FUN FUN. So don't worry its just a fun time
