I hope they don't back out!

It doesn't look good, apparently she has a different interpitation of this clause than we do:

3) Seller will have a qualified electrical contractor correct open wire connections inside the garage and basement; evaluate live wire and all hanging wires and connections in basement and repair / replace as needed for proper connections in electrical boxes. Evaluate knob and tube wiring in basement to determine if it is active; remove/replace if determined active
It's active, but she doesn't think she should have to have it removed and replaced.

That is what I have pondering about for 2 days.

How can they back out if they accepted your offer and that blurb about the wires is in the contract? To me that sounds like she is breaching the contract!

She is breaching the contract, but she doesn't think she is. According to my agent, she needs to provide a statement saying that she is unwilling to replace the wiring. Then we get our deposit back and go to arbitration in order to settle the dispute. Hopefully we'll at least get our inspection money and bank fees back.

Then We're going to take a little break, maybe spend a little money and go to the casinos and have a little fun. We've been pinching pennies all year to save up for DP and closing costs, so it'll be good to splurge a little bit.

Just got a text from my agent, she'll be sending termination papers in the morning. We'll take a 2-3 month break and try again.

and actually when I see the ads for the movies, I think they're too dumb and I wouldn't like them, but a couple times I have watched them on cable, and they actually are very entertaining!. I've seen This is the End and The Interview. Better post this before we get caught lol

My doggie is still sick. Sigh!

I had to say goodbye to Shasta this morning. She was not getting better and had a painful seizure. I hope she is happy again and at peace. The house does not seem right without her!!

I agree with dietingqueen, lack of money. I need so many things right now and have no money for any of it.

My $1000 line of credit is due in full at the end of July or they will charge interest on it.

I have a dentist appointment in August and I don't have insurance so that will be around $200.

I need new sneakers, new pants, new socks, new bras & new underwear. Pretty much all my clothes are stretched out, wrinkled and/or have holes. I need a new wardrobe badly but, sadly, this is at the bottom of my priority list.

My dog is almost out of food and it's $30 a bag since she's on a special diet.

I'm remodeling one of my bathrooms and don't even have enough money to replace the rotten plywood under the toilet. Also, the plywood subfloor is very unlevel. It drops down an inch on one side of the room (over the garage) so I think I'll need to level it with self-leveling concrete - $30 for a bag and I'll need at least 4 bags. Ugh! After that, I'll need money for cement board, tile, thinset, grout, paint, light fixtures, a toilet, a vanity and towel bars. Luckily, I already purchased the new bathtub and shower head/bathtub faucet. I don't think my bathroom is going to be usable for a while so it's a good thing there is another bathroom in this house.

I also have a vacation planned for early next year and haven't started saving for it yet. I didn't really want to spend my money on a vacation but my parents talked me into it. My mom said that I'm going to need a vacation after all the work I'm doing on the house and I kind of agree. I need $500 ASAP so I can reserve the pet sitter for the two weeks we will be gone. Then I'll need to start saving for hotel, gas, food, souvenir money, admission fees, etc.

Another thing I need to buy is new laminate flooring for the entire upstairs of my house. I ripped out the gross carpet when I moved in at the end of March and have been living with a plywood subfloor ever since. It sucks. They look awful and are hard to clean. I want to get new floors installed soon. I just can't afford $1700 right now.

Why, oh, why did I buy a fixer upper? The master bathroom is usable but needs to be gutted, the old radiators need to be taken out and the walls need to be fixed where the radiators were located, all the walls need new paint, two of the rooms have popcorn ceiling that needs to be scraped and painted, each room needs new trim, new doors & doorknobs, the kitchen needs to be updated (luckily, not a total gut but still needs new appliances, new backslash, new floors & new paint - maybe new countertops as well).

Also, my van broke down and I have no money to fix it or replace it. Luckily, I work from home and I just get a ride with my parents when I need to go to the store (which hasn't been often lately since I have no money for shopping). It would love to be able to buy a newer car that doesn't need so much work but there's no way I'd be able to afford the payments especially with everything else I need.

Money, money, money. I wish I could win a giveaway or two with big cash prizes in order to pay off/buy some of the stuff I need. Then I wouldn't feel so stressed out about needing money.

I don't like how I went from being a help to those around me to feeling like I'm a burden to everyone around me.
