Facebook notification
I have those notifications where FB sends a notice on the top of my computer when someone replies, etc...

Tonight I am now getting something telling me to sign in.. I still get notifications ... and my FB account is signed in...

So what are these notices? If I hit continue, my system preferences pops up... I didn't go any further on that.. I keep closing the box, but sometimes it pops up every minute!

That doesn't sound right. Sounds like someone is trying to get you login info.

It's not a pop up like an ad... it's a system notification type that comes up in the upper right ... dings a notification sound.. and my Mac tells me what it is...

OK.. it appears to be something with the Mac .. Internet accounts..

Use Internet Accounts preferences to quickly set up your Internet accounts from Google, LinkedIn, Yahoo!, and other providers for multiple Mac apps, such as Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Notes, Reminders, and Messages. To open this pane, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Internet Accounts.

I just disabled FB on it.. I think it will stop the messages telling me if someone replied to my post, mentioned me, etc.. I'll check it out.. if that's the case, I'll have to set it up again so that it works..

My mac is over 8 years old .. working on a battery that holds maybe 5 minutes of a charge max and drains while shut off overnight..

Just checked it out.. Chrome sends a notification across the top telling me any FB messages.. so maybe Apple's notification system was just a redundant thing.

The same thing happened to me and I have a MAC. I keep ignoring it but it's annoying.
