What does the little black dot on the green envelope mean in the forums?
When browsing a forum, a little black dot will appear on the envelope next to any thread in which you have made a post.

For example, if you replied to this thread, the next time you viewed the F.A.Q. forum you would see a little black dot on the green envelope next to this thread's title.

Hiya Julia, I asked the same thing when I first started posting. It means that you have responded to the thread. Somewhere there is an explaination of what the envelopes mean....but for the life of me, I can't find it now. Anyone?????

To see what the envelopes mean, go to the forums, then click on an area (such as FAQ, Newbie Neighborhood), then scroll to the bottom of the page.

Does this answer your question or is there a green dot that I don't know about?

hey folks I am gonna bump this and leave the questions to this one a few days . I merged all with brents explanation. The search feature is the best way to find something like this. Just put in a few key words like black dot green envelope. Choose the forum you want to search in this case I would choose FAQ and its will bring up an answer in most cases. Beleive me if its been asked its been answered somewhere on this board. The search feature is the best way to find anything you have on your mind.
I will be deleting most of this in a day or two so if your post is gone please don't panic. If you have not read the post at the beginning of the FAQ forum please read it now it explains how to post here. Many wins to all !!!

Why is there a black dot on my envelope?
I just started posting to forums and when I post the green envelope that shows up on the far left has a black dot on it like it is sealed. None of the other posts have this. Am I doing something wrong? I tried to post this to FAQs but it is closed for cleaning. Suggestions?

Thanks

I suggest that you READ the FAQ forum. I know for a fact, you will find that answer already posted there. In fact, you will find the answers to a lot of questions that you haven't even though of yet by reading that forum.

I KNOW that will help you!

Thank you both for your replies. I actually did go through the FAQ forum but as you can imagine there is quite a lot of info. I must have missed the posting on that subject. I did learn a lot of cool things from the other posting.

Thanks again!
