I bet you could if you drummed up the confidence to give some of these sorts of things a shot. I admit pouring the concrete pad was lunacy, even though it came out well.

This burner repair should have been easy. It would have been if this stupid, incorrect instruction paper was not in the box.

The woman who did the youtube was 9 months preggers!!!! Other than not getting someone to hold the glass top up for her until the end, or using something to prop it up the whole time, she did fine. At the beginning of her video, she was trying to hold the top up and do the stuff underneath at the same time.

If she could do it, you could do it.

Also, sending you a PM on another subject.

I don't know about doing that sort of work. I think some people have an aptitude for certain kinds of work, but I don't believe that I'm one of them.

I think of the money. The $129 part would have been marked up 100% I am sure, by a technician. Then you know the labor and probably dispatch fees, travel fees, etc, anything else they can think up equals a significant amount of money.

Makes me give it a try.

I'm a very frugal person and I don't like to spend money unless necessary, but I'm afraid I would get so frustrated trying to repair an appliance and be so unsure about everything, that I would rather bite the bullet and pay a technician.

I am happy to report that the stove seems to be working well and my repair efforts have not burned down the house - which would really mess up my plans for the bathroom.

The latest repair is removing and replacing the UV light air cleaner from the HVAC system.

That sounds rather complicated, but I hope it will go smoothly for you.

Sorry that the repair is not going as planned. I do like the sleeping pooch in the background and the carefully lined up tennis balls on the floor.

LOL she is never too far away. Sandy loves her toys. The tennis balls and other doggie toys end up everywhere. It's like having a toddler.
