Thought I would stop in and introduce myself as I am finally pretty sure we are going to have this baby and it will be ok. Most of yall know me, I am Lucinda, will be 42 when this baby is born. I am due Jan 5, but since I will be a repeat C-section with diabetes they will take him around Christmas. It is our first boy and our last child!
I am now 31 weeks and am seeing a MFM specialist as I have a laundry list of issues. I have never went past 32 weeks, Katie my oldest was born at 32 weeks because of Pre-Eclampsia and my youngest Carrie at 31 weeks with a placental abruption. Hoping to make it a bit further this time and bring a baby home from the hospital and avoid the NICU at all costs! Good luck all you Momma's!

So close Light474!!

Congratulations LUCINDA574!! Wishing you and your baby boy good health and a full term delivery! Sounds like you have had a rough pregnancy.
Mine were early too at 32, 35, and 34 weeks and I'm hoping this little one avoids the NICU too. I went to the hospital last week for contractions and thankfully they are non causing any changes but it's stressful to be having them this early this time (24 wks)

24 days and counting until my newest grandson, Nicholas, joins our family. My DIL is scheduled for her C-section on Nov. 29th (unless she suprises us by going into labor earlier than that).

Poor DIL is miserable and feels as though she's been pregnant forever. The baby is still very active and keeps DIL awake most nights with his kicking.

Gramma couldn't be more excited and on pins & needles!

So glad to hear that everyone is doing well that is expecting and I am praying for safe deliveries for all!

Congrats Lucinda!!!!

I'm 37 weeks!!!! I'm due on Thanksgiving and wondering if baby will come early. Our baby room is almost complete and I finally got approved for medicaid so I'm ready for baby now.

We're fed up!

The baby doesn't want to come out. She's turned fine, head down and positioned appropriately. My practical knowledge of pregnant anatomy isn't superb, but I've checked that the missus is dilated (bout 2cm) and it feels like my kneecap behind, I'd guess that's probably skull. We just can't get anything else to happen!

My wife has developed SPD (Symphisis Pubis Dysfunction) - She had a fall last friday and did the splits in the mud, it's overstretched the ligaments and now she can barely move. Walking hurts, getting into bed hurts, even rolling over is a 5 minute process with ouch breaks.

We've tried everything we can think of to stimulate labor: Blue Cohosh, red raspberry leaf, pennyroyal, drinking lots of water, baby sifting, sex, and even castor oil! We're avoiding nipple stimulation (we're not breastfeeding because of her medication, so we don't want to get engorged). We can't walk around because of the pain... is there anything else people do to trigger labor? We're at 38 weeks, but if we have to wait another 2 weeks it's going to be hell on the wife.

I've even tried attempting to bribe the baby with cuddles and ponies. I guess she's just too content in there. Sigh!

Have you tried rubbing the evening primrose oil from the caplets directly on the cervix?

thanks all! Baby went head down this afternoon finally and dropped alot, been fighting contractions for the last few hours but think we will be ok, hoping for at least 5 more weeks!

Sorry for your wife Denarius, unfortunately the baby wont come unless she is ready to. Hopefully she can tell her OB her discomfort and he can help her.

Baby's are funny like that - sorta like fruit that falls from a tree when it's ripe - and not until GOOD LUCK!!!

Thanks ladies We'll keep trying and I'll keep trying to bribe the bump. I was told last night to stop bribing her with ponies, because little girls really want horses... maybe that'll do the trick. :P
