I entered a Metallica Charity contest through Crowdrise and won Tickets to the show. I actually already had tickets to the show, but I won two more. The tickets were not the important thing to me anyway, the important thing was I won Snake Pit Passes. I was allowed in a special VIP area inside the stage.. Basically the band would go out on the catwalk and perform while you were inside the walkway. Since you can't buy these tickets, it was very exclusive. I ended up highfiving James and Fist bumping Rob. They leaned into the center of the pit to perform, and I was literally inches away while the performed. To put that in perspective, the people who were on the rail where 4-5' away from the band.
Basically if you have a Snake Pit wrist band it is really really awesome, you pass through security in front of the stage and past thousands of fans along the rail between the security area and the pit area.
Plus I scored 2 guitar picks from James Hefield from the (STL) show.
