Howdy, all!
So this is where you guys have been hiding...

I love pierogies, especially the cheesy ones.
My favorite way to cook them is in a soup with a chicken broth base and throw in a few veggies.
I have also eaten them as pasta with a traditional marinara sauce.

Thanks for the heads up about the contest, awssm. I hadn't found that one yet!

Nice to see you here, Angswin. Your recipe sounds yummy, too. Like I said, pierogis are very versatile and can be boiled, baked, fried, slow cooked, etc. When my mom was cooking them, I'd eat them just as they were before they could get to the freezer
Feel free to post your random thoughts here whenever you can't find another thread that seems appropriate...

Thanks for mentioning the contest, awssm. I'm trying to think of a comment I can make since I've never had a pierogi.

I am planning to have homemade meatloaf for supper today. Maybe I should include Angel food cake for dessert.

Angel food cakes are okay, but I prefer the richer, more decadent kind of cakes.

Me, too. It'll be carrot cake instead.

My dessert today will be apple crisp that I made from some apples I got at an orchard last Friday.

Apple dumplings sound good, too. I am still looking to find the jonagold, our favorite apple, in our local markets.
